The Meanest Man on Campus
What is MMOC?
MMOC - the Meanest Man on Campus campaign - is a charitable fundraiser run during GM
week by the RPI chapter of Alpha Phi Omega. The competition generally involves
approximately 10 students, faculty, staff, and administration who are widely recognized
as being the meanest and nastiest people on campus. Through posters and advertisements,
torture devices and big red pens, the competitors strive to prove just how horrible they
are. All this is done in conjunction with the events surrounding the Student Government
elections; following the GM/PU debates, there will be a set of MMOC debates held in the
McNeil Room of the Union. The week's events will culminate at the GM week finale, where
the results of both the Student Government and the Meanest Man elections will be announced.
Votes are cast in the form of money; one penny is one vote. There will be a table in the
Union West Lobby during normal operating hours throughout GM week. Each candidate will
have a can in which "votes" can be cast. At the end of the week, all procedes will be
given to the Heifer International organization.
