Minutes for 11/6 brotherhood meeting
Call to Order:
Officer Reports:
Presidential Schpiel:
*Officer Reports for last semester are due
SVP:
*National service day this past weekend
*Community dinner this Saturday at Holy Cross Church
*meet at 3pm in the office
MVP:
*PRB’s starting tomorrow
FVP:
*Wednesday night bowling, meet at 8:15 in the office
*Girl’s Night out in Sharp 201 at 7pm
*Send question for family feud to Nicole ASAP
Treasurer:
*Only one negative CD now
*Anyone interested in treasury, talk to Ben
RecSec:
*Final super-deluxe brotherhood list will be sent out this week
CorSec:
*Regionals
*December 28th-30th
*$57 dollars for everything, Banquet is $25, Conference for $25, shirt for $7
*Fees will be taken out of CD’s by Sunday November 19th
Historian
*Printing out the design of the pledge signature book
SAA:
*Nothing to report
OM:
*Written part of the office final will be submitted pending revision
*The written portion of the office final will be given on November 17th; pledges need to sign up for the practical portion.
Old Business:
*Historian Bylaw amendment vote
*Vote: 16-0-2, motion passes
*Risk Management amendment to the amendment:
*This version will be a broad statement that allows “wiggle room” for updates in policy as set by the president
*Firedrill!!!
*Suggestion that the proposed amendment is too broad
*Vote: 7-2-9 motion fails
*Risk Management amendment
*This policy states that the president is responsible for notifying the advisory chair of official off campus events
*Friendly amendment to change wording of “official calendar”
*Removal of definitions of off campus and “official”
*16-0-2 amendment passes
*Approval of treasury guidelines
*Individual is notified that the CD is negative
*After one week their CD is closed, after two weeks a one dollar a week fine starts, after four weeks, a hold is put on the student account
*Questioning the need for a one dollar fine
*Proposal to reverse the actions at days 14 and 7
*Vote: 3-10-4, motion fails
*Motion to remove day 14 and 7

*Vote on final proposal
*11-1-5 Motion passes
