Minutes for Brotherhood Meeting 10/10/05
Call to order
*Lacking in quorum
Presidential Schpiel:
*Fulfilling concrete goal of charter reaffirmation
SVP:
*Fall bake sale
*12th of November Community dinner at Holy Cross Church
*Need numbers by next week
*Blood Drive tomorrow at the Mueller center
*October 29th Circle K is doing a haunted house, help will be needed
*Community Service Day Saturday Nov. 5th
*Cynthia Smith is looking for general help for fall-fest (e-mail her for details)
*Dr. Knowles is looking for help with passing out calendars for the music hall
MVP:
*BBLB next Tuesday at 9 pm.
*E-mail Kim if interested in getting a little
FVP:
*Friday at 8 pm at 34 baking of stuff for Katrina relief, food and games too
Treasurer:
*Treasury sessions Weds. At 5 pm
*I banquet fees ($16.42); sectional fees ($35) and section dues ($2) are due the 19th
*Recsec:
*The brotherhood list will be ready to go once he pledge list is recieved
*CorSec:
*E-mail Andrew about times of arrival
*Will provide an e-mail list of sectional attendees
*Haiku newsletter in two weeks
*Historian:
*Baseball trip in two Saturdays
*SAA:
*BBLB room will be reserved soon
*Advisor mixer next weds union 3502
*OM:
*Yay DTC!

Old Business:
*Sectionals plans:
*Clue theme possibility
*Amount of interest?
*LAF debacle has resolved itself
New Business:
*Unbudgeted expense of $49.29 for 2 advisors and spouse
*16 for-0 opposed-2 abstaining
*Giving DTC books to organizations. Give to Better World Books; they will give them to Books for Africa, Room to read, and NCFL
*Will pay for all shipping, packaging etc.
*Amendments to the Bylaws for CorSec and Historian positions:
*Historian will be responsible for archiving chapter materials once a semester.
*CorSec would be responsible for sending out press-releases and a more external newsletter
*Possible Transfer of the e-mail list responsibility from CorSec to the RecSec?
*Risk management for the chapter:
*Cynthia Smith and Public Safety must be notified when we leave the Campus
*Forms are in the union admin office
*This responsibility will fall on the president temporarily
*Could be made the responsibility of the event chair
*Need for clarification of the definition of a “chapter event”
*Announcements:
*MINI COMPOSITES!!!!
*Printed out calendar:
*Online calendar is not as reliable
*Should be updated every Friday

*Invitation to section event 80’s karaoke thing 22nd of October
*If in need of a ride contact section staff, Pledges who are interested in going late, they will be paid for.
*Pledge manual will be re-posted in the office
*New brothers need to fill out Brotherhood forms
*Music association concert on Friday 7 pm in Mc Neil room
