January 25, 2004 Brotherhood Meeting

Attendance: Patrick, Chris, Alyssa, Emily, Diana, Adam, Nicole, Adrienne, Jim, Kevin Woolsey, Tommy, Kevin Ly, David, JJ, Aaron, Charlie, Josh, Shaun, Dave

Meeting Convened at 19:10

President:
Tess will train for Rit Chair this semester and will be Rit Chair next fall.
Calendar is almost finished and will be printed by end of the week.Service during February will be centered around service to the chapter (LAF and book sale)
Still looking for campaign managers for MMOC
Reminder that only actives can vote at Brotherhood meetings and officers at E-Comm meetings
Teik is PR chair, will work with Diana
He will be concerned with publicity outside APO.
Chairs for projects should write a project summary for an advisor e-mail and for the newsletter

SVP:
Klondike derby is Saturday. Please sign up.
February 11 will be a DTC book sale.
February 14 will be a Community Service Day. Chaired by Kevin Ly.
February 15 will be a making a Glump day.
Possible section service project for next fall.
Possibilities are Oakwood Cemetery (clean up) or Nature Conservatory (trail cleanup).
Would include an easy Friday night fellowship event and service during the day Saturday. Only about 50 people
Main concern is free housing.
Alyssa is going to look into getting free housing and report back.
We will do a project at St. Jude's where we do a science presentation to fourth, fifth, and sixth graders from noon until about 2:30.
Scheduled for Wednesday March 3.
Need a chair.

MVP:
Keep going to Rush and stay excited.
Get homework done early this weekend because busy weekend.
Second draft of pledge manual will be out this week. Check it out.
Will be approved at the next E-Comm meeting.
Thursday February 5 is initiation.
Tuesday February 24 is BBLB.
February 27-28 is overnighter.
If you see an associate attending an event, encourage him or her to keep coming back.
Send Shaun your schedule if you have not already.

FVP:
February 14 will be an Anti-Valentines Day party in the evening. Nicole is chair.
February 20 will be a movie and board games night. Movie is Kill Bill Vol. 1. Chair is Adam.
Charlie will schedule a LAN party at some point this semester.
Intramurals this semester will be volleyball and walleyball.
Send an e-mail to Tommy if you want to join.
Tommy is starting a soccer team, there is a signup in the office.
There might be a volleyball game for brothers only sometime in March.

Treasurer:
Treasury will be noon on Wednesday. Come if you are interested in learning.

RecSec:
Small update to the Brotherhood list and MOB chart.

CorrSec:
Send newsletter articles for next weekend.
Chairs should send write-ups of their events so that they can be in newsletters and sent to advisors.

Historian:
Update or fill out your active brother pages.
Archiving will be suspended indefinitely until Armory key is obtained.
PR chair got pictures from Food Bank and will be getting them in a newspaper.
CII 3039 and 3049 are reserved for pledge ceremony.

SAA:
If you want to reserve the Alumni house for anything, give Josh a lot of notice.
Will have the Armory key by the end of the week.
Will look into why our meeting room is always locked.

OM:
Still some empty slots for office hours, sign up for 2 if you can.
Working on fixing the problems with the office computer.
There will be an office inventory in February, only need 2-3 people.

Old Business
MMOC:
We really need campaign managers.
Rush:
Treat all prospectives equal, don't show preference to prospectives who have been to all events.
Watch topics of conversation with prospectives.
LAF:
LAF runs will be assigned soon, after Shaun has everyone's schedule.
LAF posters will be in the LAF slot to go up when runs are assigned.
Buildings should be checked at least once every two weeks.
Klondike Derby:
Meet in the office at 10:45.
Going to Camp Rotary.
Event runs from 11:30 to about 3 or 4.
There are 9 stations, we will be divided between them.
Dress warmly as you will be outside the entire time.

New Business
Talk to JJ if you have a good announcer voice for the new voicemail message.
We are having perspectives sign at the pledge ceremony, they can sign earlier, but we will send out bids rather than asking to sign.

Announcements
Wrench will never be in Josh's bathroom despite what he says.
Scrapbook will be ready for I-Banquet.
Patriots will win next weekend.
Signup for Dinner with APO, we need more entrees.
Charlie won Risk again.
Project chairs should inform Alyssa about their projects for the website.
JJ and Charlie go to Mt. Snow and sometimes Killington on Tuesdays. Brothers are invited to come along. Speak to them about any other days you might be interested in.
E-Comm meeting next week will be in the office at 4 on Sunday and then relocate to another room.
