January 18, 2004 E-Comm Meeting
Attendance: Shaun, Adam, Diana, Chris, Patrick, Aaron, David, Kevin Ly, Teik, Nicole, Adrienne, Tommy, Josh, Alyssa, Emily, Dave, Charlie, JJ
Meeting Convened at 19:12
President:
Working on this semester's calendar.
Appointed Teik as PR chair.
He will work with Diana and they will divide up the duties.
Reminder that only actives can vote at Brotherhood meetings and only
officers can vote at E-Comm meetings.
Appointed JJ as OM.
SVP:
Service day is Monday January 19.
Everyone meet at the office at 10:30 unless you are site supervisors.
Food Bank is Saturday. Meet at the office at 1:30
RPI is thinking about making a theme house for community service.
A theme house is a set of invitation only rooms outside of the lottery.
Would be fourth floor of Davison.
Informational meeting will be next Thursday night.
MVP:
Talk to prospectives at the service day since they are probably interested
in service and would be more interested in us.
Get prospectives to come to Food Bank.
All brothers should come to Food Bank to help alleviate cost.
Study hours will be weekly.
FVP:
Go to Rush events.
Go to I-Banquet.
There will be an Anti-Valentines Day event.
There will be a ski trip on February 21.
There will be another movie then board games night.
There might be a lan party event.
Treasurer:
I-Banquet money is due this Wednesday before noon.
Make sure if you want to use CD for an event that you have enough
money in it the Wednesday before the event.
We were not supposed to use CD for ice skating because not everyone
has one.
There is no Bail Bond account with our money floating around.
We two emergency funds, including an index fund, that two advisors
have signing power over.
Going to change the signing power on these accounts to Ted and
Cynthia.
Starting February 28, Alyssa will begin teaching treasury.
Has a definite schedule with a manual and quizzes, so should be taken
seriously.
RecSec:
New Mob Chart and Brotherhood List is in the office and e-mail.
If you info is still incorrect just send Pat an e-mail and he will correct it.
Alyssa is going to make an acrobat version of the Mob Chart so it is more
universally accessible.
CorrSec:
Thanks for articles, got 100% of E-Comm.
Let Diana know if you did not receive the newsletter because you might
not be on the e-mail list.
Historian:
Rush pictures are on Alyssa's website.
Take pictures at event because Aaron might not be at every event.
Fill out active brother forms.
They are in the historian drawer. Then put in historian's slot.
SAA:
Josh will have keys by Wednesday night.
Armory room trips will be on Wednesdays. There will be sign up sheets if
you need items.
Wrench rule: 1. Can be stolen at any time except between the beginning
of a meeting and after he leaves the room after the meeting.
There will be a Robert's Rules class on some Sunday later in the
semester.
OM:
Sign up for office hours.
You should only sign up for one now, sign up for second ones after
everyone has one.
Tommy is the new LAF and test files chair.
New LAF runs will be assigned after brothers' schedules are compiled.
Check all items you enter for contact information and do your best to
contact the person instead of just tossing the item in the cabinet.
The LAF posters will be updated this semester.
Will use the new PR chair to increase campus awareness of LAF.
During office hour, check to see if there are any items that need to be
taken off.
E-mail Tommy with any further questions regarding LAF or test files.
Old Business
MMOC:
Ask your new professors to run. We need one more candidate.
Need more brothers to help out by being campaign managers.
Need help making a Glump.
Pledge Manual:
Presented to E-Comm.
Will be voted on at a later date.
Will still be in office for brothers to make suggestions in.
New Business
Rush Events:
Simpson's Night, Pizza Night, and Food Bank are all happening this week. - COME!
Announcements
Submit info for website (corrections, events to be listed, etc.)
Charlie won at Risk.
Officer goals needed by next Saturday at 7 AM.
Meeting adjourned 20:30.
