Announcements:
.Kevin Ly gave a presentation for his Class of ’06 Senate campaign on the Genesis party platform. Some points he made:
a.What has student government done for you lately? Currently, its reputation is very negative and infamous for meaningless bickering. Kevin & party seek to change that.
b.On the agenda: holding student government accountable through a planned system of checks and balances, seeking to reduce the student stress level (i.e. abolishing 8am classes [!]), and meeting with the student body on frequent occasions.
.Check the FYE website for information about an upcoming Community Service Week (4/20-4/24).
.See Kyle about nominations for the Volunteer Recognition Awards Dinner.
.A telethon will be occurring on the same day as Launch, possibly in conjunction with Circle K.
.Fall Sectionals will be held at Kappa Phi Chapter (St. Lawrence Univ.), while the Spring hosts will be Phi Chapter in Syracuse. This year's Regionals will be held at ADH in Albany.
.See Erica for details on the upcoming National Volunteer Conference, Boy Scout Jamboree, and SERVE.
.Section Newsletter!
.Section Picnic! (Thatcher Park, 7/16)
.All of the males at Sectionals danced. Woohoo! *whistle*
.Instructions for scanning test files are on the scanner in the office. Please help out any chance you get.
.We have…donuts! Tim Horton’s, no less.
.The Charter Anniversary will be held at SUNY Oswego on 4/30. RSVP by 4/15.
.We have received the Joel Barlow Chapter Award! From ourselves, no less! Awesome!
