Brotherhood Meeting Minutes: 1/30/05

Brothers in Attendance: Tommy, Rothy, Adrienne, Alyssa, Kyle, Brian, Erica, Josh, Ben, Aaron, Jim, Kim, Dave, Paul, Adam, Charlie, JJ, David H, Teik, Dan, David P.

Convened at 7:15pm

President:
1. Congratulations to Adrienne, Ben, and Dennis! They are, respectively, our new Ritual Chair, Webmaster, and CSA.
2. Any brother is welcome to challenge Dave to an “active deed”. If they win, they get the gavel.
3. This is the 2nd time Dave has worn jeans.

SVP:
1. Thanks to everyone who showed up at Food Bank; it went very well. Jim intends to schedule this event frequently.
2. Anyone for a Test Files Chair? Send Jim an email.

MVP:
1. Congrats to Alyssa, our new Pledgemaster!
2. Some tentative dates—Pledge Ceremony: 2/10 at 9pm; Advisor Mixer: 2/23; BBLB: 2/24.
3. Josh hopes to have a new manual out by next ECOM, but makes no promises.
4. The issue of the recent trip to Friendly’s was discussed. No one is to blame, but in the interest of keeping up togetherness, it would probably be best if someone took charge of such trips as they happened and ensured that brothers remain in one group.

INTERMISSION: A bird chirps…

FVP:
1. The signup sheet for I-Banquet is in the office, listing meal choices. The deadline is this upcoming Tuesday.
2. Be sure to take note of upcoming events (check the website calendar).
3. In the case of the RPI vs. Princeton hockey game, please let Kim know in advance if you plan on going.

Treasurer:
1. Congrats to Adrienne, our new Treasury Document Management Chair!
2. The budget sheet is up. Don’t go over budget. Or else…
3. If you are of active status this semester, but you weren’t previously, you’d be needing to get your membership dues to Kyle pronto.

RecSec: I got nothin’.

CorSec:
1. Check out the newsletter!
2. In the case of future article submissions, please have them in by the Wednesday of that week. For this next one, that means by 2/9.

Historian:
1. Congrats to Alyssa and Nicole, our Archives and Composite Chairs, respectively.
2. Check your email, and send Brian a reply. 4/20 is the day for the composite. You NEED to let Brian know if this doesn’t work for you. A signup sheet will be in the office with timeslots.

SAA:
1. Anyone see a couple of blue bike-lock keys?
2. Making reservations in the Union is becoming increasingly difficult. Please let Ben know well in advance if you would like to reserve a room there.

Old Business:
1. MMOC—it’s still coming. Thanks to Charlie, our Collection Chair; Erica, our Advertising Chair; and Shaun, our T-Shirt Chair.
2. Rush: Thanks to everyone who has participated so far. Sign up for Rush events!
3. LAF: Sign up! There are new LAF Stations at the Commons and the Mueller Center, and the Biotech Center is under investigation. Start your runs this week.

New Business:
1. There was a LAF auction. The IPOD was sold.
2. Kyle intends to have a copy card policy come up for vote at the next meeting. Talk to Kyle about any opinions you may have regarding this policy.
3. Thanks to JJ for her donation! It will be added to the SVP budget (vote: 17 in favor, 0 opposed, 1 abstaining).

Announcements:
1. Alyssa is running a Relay for Life bake sale, with items going for 25-50 cents. Place change in the brown envelope. Also, the CD sheet will be updated to reflect this.
2. The Cave is recruiting. There will be an open house at Davison on 2/16. Applications are due by 2/25. Also, help is wanted for a Science Fair project being done for the Ark Charter School, 1-2pm on Wednesdays.
3. We won our first basketball game!
4. A round of applause was held for everyone who has helped out with Rush, especially Erica.
5. Josh is a better Britney Spears than Tommy is a Gwen Stefani.
