The "Charlie Dreisbach" Brotherhood Meeting
November 28, 2004
Convened at 8:15 pm
Brothers/Pledges in attendance:
Dave Tu, Tommy, Aaron, Diana, Erica, David P., Paul, Brian, Emily, Pat, Tess, James, Jen, Kevin, Adrienne, Shaun, Jim, David H., Kim, Charlie, Alyssa, Chris
President: Risk management was discussed. Procedure: 1. Evaluate projects before committing to them. 2. Trip itinerary must be turned in two days in advance to the Union Administration office. 3. Project chairs must have phone numbers for public safety, the advisory chair, and the dean of students’ office. 4. A first aid kit and cell phone (with coverage) must be brought to all off-campus events. Insurance through the boy scouts would cost about $10/person, $20/chapter. NomComm will meet this Sunday. Send in nominations by Saturday.
SVP: Sunday, December 5th will be community service day. Sign up online to help out at the Victorian Stroll. On December 10th we will be helping out with Neighborhood meals by serving food.
MVP: Brotherhood week is this week. The pledge party will be on Friday at 10pm. Voting is Saturday morning at 8am. Initiations are Saturday night at 7:30pm. There will be a signup sheet up tomorrow for the pledge class service project. On December 8th, the computer club will be started. A second session will be held on December 15th. Erica was appointed rush chair.
Treasurer: Books will close on December 10th.
CorrSec: An email will be sent out for newsletter articles. The election newsletter is coming up.
SAA: The office will be recored on Tuesday. You may get new keys between 1 and 8pm.
OM: The office manual has been updated. Book inventory is done.
Old Business: A motion was made to raise the key deposit from $10 to $20. The motion passed. A motion was made requiring seniors/co-ops to return their keys by a specified date at the end of the semester. The motion failed.
New Business: Erica and Tommy will be working on the rush calendar. The treasury budget will be approved on Saturday at the voting meeting.
Announcements: The Rock is now owned by RPI. Dave is living on campus again. Traffic Sucks. Tess is looking for a ritual chair because she will not be on campus next semester. Send an email if you’re interested. The staples business card has been deactivated because we don’t know who has it.
