Ecomm Meeting
November 14, 2004

Convened at 7:05pm

Brothers/pledges in attendance: Adrienne, Pat, Dave Tu, Kim, Adam, David P., Tess, Paul, Kyle, Shaun, Dennis, Ben, Sasha, James, Diana, Tommy, Josh, Dan, Jacob

President: Shaun and Alyssa are narrowing down the bylaws amendments even more so that it will take less time out of the brotherhood meetings. Six people have signed up to me on nominating committee so far. Shaun, Adrienne, and Kim went to the Panhel meeting and it went well. We were invited to their Lip Sync. Officers were reminded that they must write an officer report by the end of the semester.

SVP: National Service Week project will be on November 20th. James will be assigning tasks and training brothers this week. The boy scouts have shown interest, and materials are still being made. On Monday, James will be calling Sunnyside Daycare to let them know how many people will be helping with their thanksgiving dinner. Sign up tonight if you would like to participate. There is a blood drive on Wednesday.

MVP: Tommy needs a rush chair to contact people and plan 3-4 weeks of events. Study hours were today and will be every Wednesday and Sunday. Brotherhood week is the week after thanksgiving. Big brothers should collect logs by Friday night from the pledges. Tuesday there will be APO Trivia at 7pm. Meet in the office. The pledge class fellowship event will be on the 19th at 8pm. The event is manhunt, so please bring flashlights. The pledge class party will be on December 3rd.

FVP: Wallyball is cancelled because the 87 gym did not schedule for the event. Annual Gift Giving Man will be on December 7th. Mythbusters is on Thursday. Tickets are available in the Union Admin. office. Pledges should talk to Josh about chairing a project if they have not already done so. Saturday is random movie night; the movie will be Office Space.

Treasurer: Treasury will be done on Wednesday this week. Put about $2.50 in your cd's for overnighter.

CorrSec: Eddie Knowles emailed David P. saying it looked like we had fun at sectionals.

Historian: Sasha won't be in town next week, so please take pictures at events.

SAA: Pat will be talking to Jean about scheduling the recoring of the office. Armory cleaning went well, and the armory room is now organized into sections for fellowship and service items. Pat is writing up the inventory.

OM: David will be doing book inventory sometime this weekend, next Wednesday, or next weekend.

Old Business: Only the boyscouts showed interest in orienteering day, so the event will be on Saturday only.

New Business: Budget: Historian - $100, MVP - $60, OM - $30, PPP - $90, President - $15, Rush - $180, SVP - $75, Treasurer - $20, Utilities - $200, Composite - $120, Ritual - $10, Sectionals - $15, Advisor - $50, Nationals - $33.75, FVP -> Coke-in-the-Fridge profit, Total - $998.75 Shaun is going to bring Phalanx/White Key applications to the next meeting so that brothers can nominate whoever they want. Several office key issues were voted on in a straw poll: 12 people were for raising the key deposit to $20, 3 were against it, and 2 abstained. 8 people were for grandfathering in the $10 deposit that some of the brothers have paid, 7 were against it, and 2 abstained. 10 people were for having a recurring deposit in the treasury books, 4 were against it, and 4 abstained. 11 people were for making seniors give back their keys before everyone leaves at the end of the semester, 7 were against it, and 1 abstained.

Announcements: Josh will send out an email about MMOC this week. Tess will be training a new ritual chair because she will not be on campus next semester. Email if you're interested. Email Tommy if you would like to be ritual chair. Email Josh if you would like to be I-Banquet chair. Contact Adam if you would like to be alumni. If you would like to take or give an office final, contact David P.
