Brotherhood Meeting
August 29, 2004

Convened at 7:00pm
Brothers in attendance: Jim, Aaron, Adam, David H, David P, Diana, Tommy, Rothy, Jennifer, Adrienne, Kim, Pat, Shaun, Tess, Josh, Kevin W., Brian, JJ, Charlie, Brooke Johnson, Alyssa, Dave T.
Officer Reports:
President:
Shaun will be meeting with the advisors later this month. There will be a VP meeting later this week to discuss plans for the semester. Thanks to Nicole, the summer OM, and those who kept office open this summer.
Gavel rules: Can't be stolen from Shaun's room at 34, when a meeting is in session, or from his backpack or personal space. If you take the gavel, reveal yourself to him.
SVP:
MVP: Freshmen move-in went well. Rush begins this week. Tommy will have the pledge manual done by next week.
FVP: Email any suggestions for events to josh. The I-banquet is on September 24th at Holmes and Watson at 7:00 pm; the sign-up sheet will be in the office. Josh is also looking for an intramurals chair.
Treasurer: The books open this week. If you want something in your CD, put things in the drop box by Friday. Email Adrienne if you want to be coke-in-the-fridge chair.
RecSec: Tess is updating the brotherhood list, but needs to see who will be active/associate this semester. The Section Rep got married and is now Brooke Johnson. The Bhood list will be updated to reflect this.
CorrSec: David H. is setting up a newsletter committee. Anyone interested will meet once a week or once every two weeks. Email David H. if you're interested.
Historian: Sasha is looking for an archives chair to help her with archiving. Email her if you're interested.
SAA: Email Pat as soon as possible about room reservations. He'll send emails about rooms when they are reserved. There will be a day for armory room inventory this semester, and the inventory list will be posted on glumpspace. Things from the Armory room will not be in the office for longer than a week. Wrench rules: Don't steal the wrench while Pat is still in the meeting room. Inform him within 24 hrs. if the wrench is stolen.
OM: There currently is not an OM, so Shaun will report. The office was open this summer and a lot of books were sold before classes started. To get bx software access, see Tiek in the office after the meeting.
Old Business: No old business.
New Business: Service survey passed out to be filled out by brothers. Office hour signups. Rush School presented by Kim to prepare brothers for a successful rush. BX review presented by Shaun to prepare for BX rush.
Announcements:
Shaun: Nationals - Go to convention.apo.org for information.
Shaun and JJ&Charlie have rooms, so if anyone would like to share one, contact them.
Sectionals - Information is on the board in the office.
Diana: Postering for games night tomorrow at 5
Aaron: Pick up a mini composite if your pic is on composite
Pat is passing out keys
Shaun: Sign up for office hours
Alyssa is making a survey about the website and will email it to the brotherhood
