Ecomm Meeting
October 31, 2004

Brothers/Pledges in attendance: Dave Tu, Tommy, David P, Dan, Erica, Paul, Kyle, Adrienne, Adam, Josh, Tess, Kim, Sasha, James, David H, Pat

Pres: Shaun met with Cynthia Smith about risk management. He also mailed out the chapter reaffirmation and H. Roe Bartle award application. The VPs met to discuss overnighter.

SVP: November 17th we will be helping Sunnyside daycare with their Thanksgiving dinner. The Circle K haunted house went well.

MVP: Last week was PRBs. Thank you to Nicole and Charlie. Nicole has been appointed as academic chair and will be forming study groups if there is enough interest. Overnighter will be November 12-13th.

FVP: Happy Halloween! Lazer tag was excellent. Thursday is Denny's in East Greenbush and ADH was invited. Pledges should see Josh about chairing events. Family feud questions will be sent out around Wednesday.

Treasurer: Treasury will be done on Friday this week. Put money in your CDs.

CorrSec: Sectionals are soon. If you're still going to sign up late, make your checks out to the Xi Rho chapter. So far 10 people registered to stay overnight, and 4 signed up for just the day.

SAA: November 10th from 1-4pm will be armory room cleaning/inventory.

OM: David cleaned up the message board in the office. Please use it properly and put individual messages and sign up sheets on their correct side.

Old Business: Recoring the office will cost about $215. New ideas are to buy new keys only and to wait until we can budget for it. Currently we have $875 budgeted, $425.21 of that has been used. $449.79 is remaining. There is also an additional $421 if all of the budget is used. There is about $1,000 and $5,000 in each of the emergency funds. Adrienne said the chapter can afford it. Pat recommends recoring the office every four years. He will put all of the information on the board in the office. A straw poll of the Ecomm members showed that 0 were for the keys only option, 6 were against it, and 2 abstained. For recoring the office, 6 were for it and 2 abstained. Shaun and Cynthia talked and decided there is no need to collect brothers' emergency contact info, but the president and project chairs should have the phone numbers for public safety, the Dean of Students, and the advisory board. The first aid kit should be brought to events and periodically restocked. For overnight trips, an itinerary should be given to public safety.

New Business: MMOC in the spring. GM week will be April 4-8th. A straw poll of Ecomm showed that 7 were for having MMOC, 1 was opposed, and 1 abstained.

Announcements: Tommy has a room for regionals and will drive.
