Representatives from Albany presented ideas for their Regionals bid. Xi Rho (Oneonta), Alpha Beta Chi (Plattsburgh), and Epsilon Sigma (Buffalo) already offered to help them. Areas in which they will need assistance: Glassware committee (Xi Rho has offered to help with this), Banquet Committee, T-shirt Committee, Registration Committee (Alpha Beta Chi has offered to help with this), and Theme committee. The Albany chapter currently has 10 active brothers and 7 pledges. They plan to have bi-weekly meetings to plan.
President: The VP's met last week to update the calendar. Shaun and Cynthia are working on the paperwork for chapter reaffirmation and want the brothers to look over the risk management policy. Shaun will post it in the office. Peter Caracappa, an APO alumni, is being recruited as an advisor.
SVP: The weekend service projects went well, but some of the brothers who signed up did not come. James would like to see higher attendance at events. The project on October 2 is to be determined. There will be a community gardens project on October 9. Let Emily know if you can go to the section service project. There are only 60 spots, so if you sign up and are not able to go, let her know so someone else can participate.
MVP: Tommy would like to thank Kim for putting on the rush events. The pledge manual is finished, thanks to those who helped. There are seven new pledges, and Emily has been appointed as pledgemaster. Jen and Rothy will be chairing letters making.
FVP: Tuesday there will be a bowling event, and Thursday will be APO movie night. Josh is still deciding between Goonies and another movie. Chairs are still needed for UPAC Movie night (Dodgeball) and ultimate Frisbee. Nicole is chairing apple picking. The Justice League will be playing soccer tonight.
Treasurer: Thanks for attending check writing. We have made 1,143.12 so far from BX.
RecSec: Tess passed around a sheet to get everyone's emergency contact information. It will be kept private and we still have not decided where it will be kept or how it will be used. If you were not at the meeting, email your contact information to Tess.
CorrSec: The sectionals registration must be postmarked by October 15, so sign up in the office. Please send articles to be put into the newsletter. The pledge list is updated, so please use it when you are announcing events.
Historian: Thanks to everyone who came to the butterfly habitat event. Active brother forms need to be filled out every semester. Please fill one out and return it to Sasha. Please bring your camera to events and send the pictures to Sasha.
OM: A lifetime membership pin was found in the office.
Old Business: The pledge manual was approved by Ecomm. Shaun is looking for someone to help him with the risk management policy. Tommy made a presentation on room talks. A motion was made to discuss the appointment of the pledgemaster. The motion failed.
Announcements: Josh thanked Nicole and Tommy for helping out with I-Banquet. If you didn't before, let Tess know if you're active or not so Adrienne can know.
