Ecomm Meeting
September 19, 2004
CII 4003

Convened at 7:10pm

Brothers in attendance: Shaun, James, David P., Adrienne, Sasha, Tommy, Tess, Adam, David H., Pat

President: The advisor meeting was a success. Shaun is thinking of recruiting a new advisor, Peter Caracappa, who is a professor here at RPI and one of the younger alums. Peter will be at I-Banquet. Shaun and Cynthia are working on the Charter Reaffirmation paperwork. There will be a VP meeting this week to discuss the calendar. Alyssa has been appointed as "webmistress," and is redesigning the website. Let her know if you have any suggestions. Shaun is trying to get Sam from Albany to come to the next brotherhood meeting.

MVP: The pledge manual is not done but will be handed out at the first pledge meeting. Tommy will have a printed copy by the next brotherhood meeting. This Sunday at 6:30 there will be a membership event. Please sign up for bringing a dish to pass for Dinner with APO. The pledge ceremony is this Thursday night. Brothers should meet in the office at 8:00pm, Ecomm at 7:30. "Parlay"

FVP: There are two open spots for fellowship events. The first will be movie night, the last Thursday of September at 8pm. The second is still open, so let Josh know if you have any ideas. "Avast!!"

Treasurer: I-Banquet checks are due on Friday, not Wednesday. "Shiver me timbers!"

RecSec: There are 20 active brothers this semester. Tess is having trouble with her email and will email the updated brotherhood list and MOB chart out to everyone again in case people didn't get it. "ARRR!!!!!"

CorrSec: David is going to contact Jane Van Ryan about PR. The first newsletter turned out well and is hanging in the office. Please let David know if you have any suggestions for the next one.

Historian: Sasha is going to talk to Tess about the new alumni so she can get their composites to them. She will be handing out active brother pages at the next brotherhood meeting.

SAA: Pat is still trying to contact people about re-coring the office. Nothing new about the keys. "Q, get it, R? ARRRRRR? Whatever."

SVP: Saturday there will be a butterfly habitat project with Ecologic. Ten people are needed, so sign up in the office. Next Sunday is the Juvenile Diabetes project; we will be helping out with parking. We will have a booth at Fall Fest where we will have candied apples and pumpkin decorating. We have an apple picking fellowship event planned, and the apples we pick will be used for candied apples. If you would like to chair a project, contact James.

OM: David wants to get a DTC book sale scheduled for next month.

Old business: Ecomm will re-evaluate chapter goals because the number of active brothers has changed. The service goal was changed from 1000 to 800 hours, and the membership and fellowship goals remained the same. The pledge manual will be complete by next Sunday and voted on by Ecomm at the brotherhood meeting. Shaun is thinking about going to an IFC meeting to let them know about APO. He will talk to the IFC president to find out if the meetings are open and bring it up again to Ecomm in two weeks. Our chapter doesn't do much about risk management, so this semester an emergency contact list will be made. Tess will gather the information at the next brotherhood meeting and give it to Shaun, who will keep the list in his drawer.

Announcements: There is a soccer game tonight at 8:30.
Tomorrow is Adam's birthday.
Adjourned at 7:40
