Meeting Convened at 19:10

President:
Brothers should show support for chapter activities by attending and helping out. This is especially important for MMOC.
The calendar has been updated and posted on the board.
VP meetings are on Sundays.
Reminder that overnighter is next weekend.

SVP:
Wednesday at 3:30 is a Joseph's House project. Sign up in the office.
The numbers for overnighter have been submitted. Still room for a few more if you missed the deadline.
Be at the office at 6:00 on Friday.
Dinner will be at the campsite, the VPs will be there early to prepare it.
There will be meatless options.
LAF postering went well. The next one will be March 2 at 3:00. Hope for a better turnout.
Wednesday March 3 is the science presentation at St. Jude. Looking for a pledge to cochair with Jim.
AIDS raffle is March 15 and 16. Looking for a pledge to chair.
We need a better turnout at service projects, numbers have been low.

MVP:
BBLB is tomorrow. Meet in the office at 9:30.
There will no longer be study hours in the Nason classroom because there is not a large enough turnout to justify it.

FVP:
March 26 will be the "Act like a 4 year old" event. Looking for a pledge to chair.
March 31 will be a Cranium night.

Treasurer:
The books for the semester will be closed on April 28. Make sure all transactions for the semester are in by that date. This is a firm deadline.
Put money in your CDs, especially those that are negative.

RecSec:
Be sure to pick up your updated Brotherhood list and MOB chart, either in the office when copies are made or online.

CorrSec:
All the e-mail lists are fixed.
Send articles for the newsletter.

Historian:
A NIB composite has been made.
Need frames for the two composites. Let Aaron know if you will be going somewhere that these can be picked up.
Archiving will proceed to organize everything currently archived and move things from the office and Armory room to the archives

SAA:
Going to reserve our regular room for meetings for next semester.

OM:
Office retesting will occur this week.
Tuesday the new coat rack will be in.
Do not stack the trash, take it out of the office.
Please recycle, use the bin right outside our office.

Old Business
Sectionals:
Sign-up will continue until Wednesday. Make sure your money is in before treasury on Wednesday. If not, it will be an extra $5.
Sectionals is March 19-21 in Rochester.
A sign-up sheet will be in the office.
Bylaws:
OM revision proposed.
The current revision is not a complete sentence.
- Motion to revise the amendment to read "The office manager oversees ."
- Motion passes.
It would mean too many revisions if the bylaws are made this specific everywhere.
The proposed amendment only gives the OM authority over the behavior of brothers when dealing with LAF. Should be made more broad.
Argument that are bylaws are not important because they are not read is not valid because the Union will start reading our constitution when dealing with us if there is a conflict.
Amendment does not pass.
Any further ideas for bylaw revisions should be directed to David and Kevin.

New Business
SVP Budget:
The SVP budget needs to be increased because projects are requiring more money.
Proposal to move $25 from the president budget and $25 from FVP budget to SVP budget.
Motion passes.
Paying for the Glump:
Motion to not pay for the Glump out of MMOC or chapter funds
Right now the Glump will be paid for out of the funds raised from MMOC.
Cost so far is $20.75. Estimated cost to complete the Glump is about an extra $45.
Unclear whether Glump helps MMOC or has little effect.
Arguments for stopping funding:
- Unsure whether it actually creates ~$70 of income for MMOC.
- If used for MMOC then should be taken from MMOC budget, but MMOC expenses are coming from a liability account which takes from the proceeds that will go to the charity.
- Not sure of the design, might not be an effective design.
Arguments against stopping funding:
- It is a chapter tradition. Every MMOC has had a Glump.
- Current advertising materials have the Glump on it.
- No input was given for the design even though it was asked for ahead of time.
- In the past, the funds came out of the MMOC proceeds.
- This is an investment, the Glump will last a few years.
Motion does not pass.
New motion to not allocate funds until a plan that consists of materials, design, and estimated cost is approved by the brotherhood.
- Similar arguments from the preceding section are brought up.
Motion does not pass
Robert's Rules Clinic:
Straw poll shows much of the brotherhood could attend a Robert's Rules clinic by Josh and hour before the next Brotherhood Meeting.
Josh will try to reserve the meeting room one hour early for the next Brotherhood meeting.

Announcements:
A fund to pay for the Glump was started by JJ. Donations can go to Alyssa.
Josh and Tommy will be living in 34 next year.
Michal did not lose at Risk.
Charlie lost at Risk.
Matt is mean.

Meeting Adjourned at 20:50.

In Leadership, Friendship, and Service,
Patrick Heider
