February 1, 2004 E-Comm Meeting
Attendance: Patrick, Chris, Alyssa, Josh, Shaun, Emily, Charlie, Kevin Ly, Adam, JJ, Diana, Kevin Woolsey
Meeting Convened at 16:05
President:
E-Comm will have periodic reports throughout the semester instead on just one at the end.
All officers should have one written on what has been done and goals for February by the next meeting.
There is an updated calendar up in the office.
SVP:
DTC book sale: Feb. 11 from 11-5.
Info card calling: Feb. 13 at 2.
Community service day: Feb. 14, no time yet.
February 15 will be a making a Glump day.
Glump making: Feb. 15 at noon.
Plaque picture taking: Feb 19, no time yet, Alyssa is chair.
Section service project:
Doesn't have to have free housing because doesn't require fellowship the night before.
Albany housed people in brother's apartments.
Emily, service, and Alyssa, publicity, would co-chair if the project is approved.
Approval at next brotherhood meeting.
Still need at chair for St. Jude's Science Presentation. Preferably someone who will be there.
Literacy Volunteers need just 1 or 2 people for an April event for a few afternoons during a week. We need to get back soon if we want to do this
MVP:
Pledge manual was approved.
There are currently 5 signees.
There is a pledge ceremony this Thursday but it might be cancelled because all signees can't make it to this one. We will decide on Tuesday whether to hold it.
Another one is scheduled for Monday Feb. 9 at about 8.
FVP:
We will try to do a dodge ball event later in the semester when we can be outside because we can't get a room to do it in.
A LAN party will also be scheduled for later in the semester.
Anti-Valentines Day: Feb. 14
Movie and random games night: Feb. 20
Treasurer:
The historian budget will be increased, addressed at the next brotherhood meeting because of budget overruns.
Make sure all BX transactions are done on the computer.
As per the bylaws we should only be paying out 90% of the list price on lost books to owners.
Put money in your CDs you [censored for content].
RecSec:
Nothing to report.
CorrSec:
Newsletter will be out tonight.
Send summaries of service projects to Diana so they can be compiled for our advisors.
Historian:
Archiving of armory room stuff will take place this Friday beginning at 2 PM at which point any old pledge class plaques will be brought down to the Armory room.
Aaron thanks everyone for putting up with the blinding flashes of light during rush events and I-Banquet, some great pictures have come of it.
SAA:
Josh now has Armory keys. Other set will be reported lost.
He has an inventory of the Armory room.
Will be doing Armory runs at 2 on Wednesdays each week.
The electronics club didn't take the parts left for them.
We will try to contact them and get them the equipment.
A list of things in the Armory room will be posted in the office or put on the computer.
OM:
There is now a CSA drawer.
It has Ethernet cables in it if you need one in the office.
Still need a few office hours filled.
JJ will be cleaning the office once a week.
Josh will record a new voice mail message.
Old Business
LAF:
Tommy will attend the next VP meeting and start arranged to get LAF running again.
Bags of stuff will be removed from the inner office this week.
We need to get posters up in each of the buildings.
Start up LAF runs soon.
We need to make faculty more aware of LAF. Possibly pass out info cards in the buildings where there is LAF.
Look into building a cabinet for LAF in the office. Manit and Rich expressed interest before but nothing was done.
BX:
JJ will contact Dave Rosenstein about fixing the program.
New Business
Print Cartridges:
Now that printer is fixed, print cartridges will come out of OM budget.
Printing on the office printer should only be done for office business.
Glump Making:
We have some old plans but they are not that useful.
Alyssa will be going to Home Depo to purchase materials after the next meeting where the expense will be approved.
Announcements
Diana has her shirt on backwards.
Charlie did not play Risk and therefore has not win to report.
Patriots are going to win.
Adam says "Eww vinyl."
Alyssa says "Chris smells."
Shaun will get a cell phone.
We should form a committee to investigate how useless committees are.
Meeting adjourned 16:50.
