Brotherhood Meeting
September 12, 2004

Convened at 7:00

Brothers in attendance: Adam, Shaun, Kim, Aaron, Tommy, Dave P., Diana, Josh, Emily, Charlie, Tess, Jim, Adrienne,
Dave Tu, David H., James, Pat

Rich Vella (Rev), President of the EZ Alumni Association
There will be an Alumni Association meeting in the Shellnut Gallery at 11:00 am on October 3rd.

President:
Topics covered in the last Ecomm meeting were:
- Chapter Goals
- Hosting Regionals with Albany. Someone from their chapter will come to an EZ meeting to explain.
- Ecomm decided to put a suggestion book in the office.
- Ecomm meetings will be in CII 4003 on Sundays, opposite brotherhood meetings. Shaun will post the
Ecomm meeting agenda in the office. Contact him if you have any questions about a meeting.
- Communication
- There will be an advisory meeting on Wed. the 15th at 5:30 in the Patroon room in the Union. Shaun
needs someone to help set up at 5:00. Contact him if you're available.
- David P. was appointed as the new OM.
- The VP's made a post-rush and October calendar.

SVP:
Upcoming service projects that will need chairs:
-September 25: Joint project with Ecologic at Wilton Preserve- trail work for the butterfly habitat.
This will be at 10:00am.
-September 26: Check Writing with Adrienne and a walk to benefit juvenile diabetes research at 8am.
-October 2: Helping the Junior Museum move
-October 9: Community Gardens at 9am
-October 16: Fall Fest
-October 23: Section Service Project- Camp Chingachguk
-October 30-31: Service Break- there may be a fellowship event
Service goal for the semester is 1000 hours. A goal thermometer will be put in the office.
The new LAF chair is Diana.
-Sign up for LAF runs. LAF runs are to be done once a week.
The new test files chair is Brian.
Please use the suggestion book for positive comments/criticisms. No profanity.

MVP:
Cardmaking and movie night this Tuesday in Union 3606 at 8pm.
Hawaiian BBQ is on Thursday at 6pm.
Email Tommy if you can help him with the first pledge meeting. The pledge book will be in the office for brothers
to look at/comment on. Tommy will announce the pledge master at the next meeting, if there is going to be one.

FVP:
Sign up for I-Banquet. Money is due by September 22.
Upcoming projects that will need chairs:
-October 5: Chinese food
-October 8: UPAC movie night- Dodgeball. Probably at 10pm.
-October 20: Ultimate Frisbee
-October 14: Games night
-October 30: Laser tag- Pledges vs. Brothers
Goal is to have 7 smaller events and one large event per month.
Alyssa is the new intramurals chair- There are signup sheets for dodge ball and floor hockey on the board in the office.

Treasurer:
All receipts must be initialed by the project chair
Keep CD's positive
Please fill out the flip book and an envelope.
Treasury will be done weekly.
Diana and David H. have been appointed as coke-in-the-fridge chairs.
Please come to check writing.
$25 for I-Banquet is due at 8am Sept. 22
$15 to be an active brother is due at 8am Sept. 29

RecSec:
The meeting minutes will be given to Alyssa so they can be on the EZ website.
There are 20 active brothers.

CorrSec:
The newsletter website will be up soon, and an email sent to the brotherhood with a link to the site.
Alyssa is the new PR chair.

Historian:
Brian has been appointed as archives chair.
Only take a composite if you are on the composite.
Email any pictures taken at events to Sasha.

SAA:
Pat is looking into re-coring the office. A rough estimation of the cost is 80 to 90 dollars.
A rough total of 120 to 150 dollars including new keys. There is $390 in the key account and 25 brothers have keys.
There is about $100 in excess in the key account.

OM:
Office rules:
-Please do not eat in the outer office.
-Please do not leave your personal items in the office.
Note that David rearranged the book sections and make sure you know where they are.
There are still open office hours. Sign up for one if you can.
David is setting up a date for a DTC book sale this semester.

New Business:
A motion was made to approve the service projects for post-rush and October. The motion was passed.
A motion was made for the SVP to delegate a person who will attend monthly Community Service Committee meetings for an entire year instead of just a semester. The motion was passed.

Announcements:
On Sunday at 8:30 there will be a soccer game on the field next to the fieldhouse.
Dave tu: There will be a blood drive in the Mueller Center next Wed.
Kim: Melissa Wright from Grafton sent a thank you. It's on the board in the office.
Josh: Charlie and Tess tied for first place at mini-golf.
James and Josh: If you're interested in chairing an event, contact them.
